Matt Walsh is a Groomer

Matt Walsh is a conservative political commentator who has recently come out with a series of videos, tweets, and articles in which he is attempting to project the idea that transgender people, and drag queens in particular, are child groomers and predators. He has made a number of claims, including that drag queens are teaching children how to engage in sexual activity, that transgender people are more likely to be pedophiles, and that drag queens are actively targeting children in public places.

In reality, there is no evidence to support any of these claims, and Walsh’s comments have been widely denounced by both LGBT activists and conservative politicians alike. Furthermore, research shows that individuals who are transgender or gender non-conforming are more likely to be the victims of violence and harassment than perpetrators.

Walsh’s comments also ignore the reality that child grooming often occurs through the misuse of power and authority, such as when someone in a position of trust takes advantage of a child. In many cases, this abuse is perpetrated by adults who are not part of the LGBT community. For example, a recent report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children found that more than 90% of perpetrators of child sexual exploitation are adults, and the majority of those adults are heterosexual.

Overall, Matt Walsh’s claims that drag queens and transgender people are child groomers and predators are baseless and irresponsible. His comments serve only to further marginalize and stigmatize members of the LGBT community, and they are not backed up by any evidence.
